The Students’ Union is made up of every full time registered student in the Institute. The executive of the Union are officers elected by the student body to ensure that the Union and college life run as smoothly as possible for the students on a daily basis.

Jessica, Aisling and Saoirse are available to you anytime and will deal with any problems or queries you may have. They are generally available Monday to Friday 10.00am to 17.00pm, but can be contacted outside these hours if needed. The Students’ Union is located in a purpose built complex behind the bicycle compound close to the pedestrian entrance to the Institute. The office is open Monday to Friday and anyone with any questions, queries, problems, complaints, or suggestions is welcome to visit at any time. The student Union have a full time secretary called Pauline O’Reilly and she can be contacted on +353 01 404 2553.
Student Counselling Service
For help during tough times.
The Student Counselling Office has moved to the Ground Floor of the Institute. Walk past the main stairs, past the part-time office on the ground floor (glass front). Past the stairs, and turn left into the corridor before the AV Office. Enter the first door on the left hand side, the Student Counselling office can be found in here. Appointments are easily made through the following methods and members of staff by phone – from outside the college phone 4042635; from inside [Ext 2635]. No problem is too small and do not let the problem become too overwhelming before seeking help. The councillor can help you with the following issues: Adjusting to College/thinking of withdrawing from College, Study Skills, Eating disorders, Self-confidence, Anxiety/panic attacks, Depression, Family/relationship difficulties, Alcohol/drug use, Abuse.

ITT Dublin Student Health Centre offers professional health care to all registered students of the Institute. We encourage a pro-active approach to health and thus place great emphasis on Health Awareness and Promotion. The function of the Student Health Centre is the Provision of medical care, Prevention of ill health and the Promotion of a healthy lifestyle. An “open door” policy operates in the Health Centre. However, please be patient if we are attending to somebody or there is a queue, we will get to you as soon as possible. If the matter is urgent please let us know. We can also be contacted on ext 2613 or ask reception to put you through.

Disability Office
For support, services and facilities for students with disabilities.
Garry Toner is the Disability Officer at ITT Dublin.The Disability Office provides support and services for the development and coordination of services and facilities for students with disabilities. Click on the links above on the right hand side for more information.

The main roles include:
- Assistance with admission procedures, accessibility, examinations and teaching and learning processes. These will include organising the provision of note takers, extra tuition, interpreters, scribes, Academic Assistants, extra time and consideration for examinations and assistive technology devices.
- Liaising with Institute Departments, individual lectures and other staff to ensure that the support needs of students with disabilities are met.
- Creating awareness among students and staff of the availability of the Disability Officer and the support facilities within ITT Dublin.
We also provide a health questionnaire which a student indicates any disability they have. Call by my office and say Hello! My contact details are above.
Access Office
For a more inclusive college environment.
The Access Office encourages and supports the participation of students from groups currently under-represented in higher education, for example: Students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, mature students, Members of ethnic minorities and the Traveller community. People with disabilities are also under-represented in higher education – see ourDisability Office section for information.
Through a range of pre-entry activities, alternative entry arrangements, and post-entry supports, the Access Office strives to ensure that ITT facilitates equity of access and progression.

The IFPA is a charitable organisation, which, guided by our Vision and Mission Statement, provides sexual and reproductive health information, clinical services, counselling services, education, training and awareness raising.The IFPA offers a comprehensive range of services designed to promote sexual health and support reproductive choice.
