Careers Services is available to all student and recent grads of GMIT. They aim to support students and graduates in developing and implementing successful career plans, and to facilitate the recruitment process for students and employers. They can assist you with career counselling, psychometric testing, career workshops, further opportunities, and employment.

The Health Unit is a team of doctors and nurses who provide health care for the body and the mind through the college year. They can assist with a variety of health issues including physical health, injuries, mental health, anxiety, women’s and/or men’s health, regular and emergency contraceptives, and sexual health.

The Access Office provides a range of supports and services for students applying to GMIT and attending full-time and part-time courses within the Institute. It facilitates equality of access and participation for all students. The Access Office also provides support for mature students in the following areas: CAO assistance, advice on funding, pre-entry training, mentoring, study skills workshops and courses.

Student Support Fund
The fund is administered by the Student Services Officer and is designed to tackle disadvantages by providing limited financial support to students to help them complete their studies. The fund also administers the Fee Waiver Scheme. Application forms for support are available from Student Services Officer and all applicants are subject to interview.
