Personal Safety is very important. Security alarms can be purchased in the SU Shop near the canteen.
Campus Security
The NUI Galway Security Office is located on Distillary Road near the North Entrance to the Bank of Ireland. Security are on duty 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
If you have been a victim of a crime, harassment, or witnessed a crime or see anything suspicious, you should report it immediately. While you may be reluctant to report incidents to Security, we would strongly encourage you to contact them. It is essential that you are honest and accurate when reporting an incident.
Any information you give to the Security or Garda will be treated confidentially and should not be disclosed to a third party without your permission.
The Gardai are based in Mill Street. They can be contacted through Gerry Nolan of Campus Security (091 493333), or directly in Mill Street on 091 538079.
